Help Grant Update

An Update on Our Help Grant Program

For 30 years, the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation has stood beside individuals and families facing sarcoma. Providing practical assistance during an extraordinarily difficult time is one of the ways we put that commitment into action.

As we look toward the future, we want to make sure that every program we offer is strong, sustainable, and able to serve families for years to come.

For that reason, the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation is temporarily pausing new Help Grant awards as of October 1, 2026. We anticipate that this is a very temporary action necessary for us to be sure that we have a plan which meets the needs of the sarcoma families within the our Northwest community. Although the grants could be paused through November, and December 2026, while we conduct a comprehensive review of the program, we are making this evaluation process our top priority.

During this time, we will evaluate how grants are funded, how requests are reviewed and approved, and how we can best structure the program to provide meaningful assistance while ensuring its long-term sustainability.

This is a pause, not an end to our Help Grant program.

We believe that taking this time now will allow us to build a stronger and more sustainable program for the future — one that is fair, thoughtfully managed, and available to sarcoma families when they need help most.

Our commitment to the sarcoma community has not changed.

No one faces sarcoma alone.
