I've got a lot to fight for and that's what I plan to do!

My journey with myxofibrosarcoma started in February of 2021. I had 2 surgeries to remove a mass in my upper left thigh. I received 30 rounds of radiation that ended in June 2021. My August and December scan all showed NED (no evidence of disease). I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 8. I am very active. I was working hard to get back to working full-time at Fred Meyers in the pickup department. I love my job and work family. I have been an employee there for 15 1/12 years. I started to experience pain in my lower neck and in my lower left chest. On April 21st I had another set of scans. I received the news on April 28th I had a mass in the left lower lobe of my lung and my C7 vertebrae. I was told that I was now stage 4 and my world was shattered. I had surgery to remove the left lower lobe and radiation treatment on the C7 vertebrae. I will be starting chemotherapy in July.I don't know what I would do without the help of the NWSF. Their support has meant the world to me. I have had fundraisers on my Facebook for my birthday and have been able to raise $780.00 total from last year and this year. It's so important to give back. We need money to help with research and to find a cure for this horrible cancer. I've got a lot to fight for and that's what I plan to do.
