HOW ARE YOU DOING?
Current challenges are just that I'm finishing up my second round of chemo. Almost all of the hair on my head has fallen off, and I had long beautiful hair before. The lack of energy is a huge burden too, mainly because I have such small children at home. Two more rounds of chemo though, and then I will have the surgery. Getting closer to that date feels good.
DID WE HELP?
I found the tumor during my last week of pregnancy and was diagnosed a week after my baby daughter was born. My husband and I also have a two-year-old son, so finding out I have cancer has come as a huge shock. The funds provided by the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation have helped us cover the cost of a nanny which helps me be able to take care of the baby during my maternity leave. With the help of the nanny I'm able to get my son to day care, prepare the formula bottles for the baby, and get some rest. Going through chemotherapy and radiation with two little ones has been extremely difficult. I get very ill and have very little energy. With the help from these funds we were able to keep some of the "normal" things in our life going. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and the generosity of the donors who gave.
